Need Help?
If you are a member of Texas’ hospitality industry who has been impacted by some kind of disaster, there are many resources that MAY BE ABLE TO help.
Children of restaurant employees (CORE)
In the wake of the recent Texas floods, the Texas Restaurant Association is proud to partner with CORE—a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting the families of food and beverage service workers during times of crisis. Together, we're working to provide relief and hope to those in our industry who need it most. If you or a team member is affected by the recent flooding, you may be eligible for a financial grant.
Southern Smoke Foundation
Southern Smoke Foundation serves as a second-phase responder, offering financial relief after immediate disaster efforts conclude and recovery begins. The organization also provides free mental health counseling for eligible food and beverage workers. A dedicated emergency relief application for the Texas Hill Country will launch on August 15, but those needing urgent support for funeral or medical costs are encouraged to APPLY NOW. Southern Smoke has committed $150,000 to initiate this effort, with additional funding available as needed.
TEXAS DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) coordinates the state’s emergency management program, including disaster preparation, response, and recovery resources.
